At this time, we don’t offer guest passes. Design Commons is more than a coworking space - it’s a community we’re intentional about building and maintaining. Limiting access helps us preserve the collaborative, supportive environment our members value. If you have a guest interested in a Day Pass, please direct them to the website.

  • We’re located in the bustling Pearl district on the 2nd floor of the Graphic Arts Building at 108 NW 9th Ave, Portland OR 97209. Resident Members can use their fob to enter the door to the right of SMG Collective - you can access the Commons by stair or elevator.

Community Members and those without a fob can enter at the 120 NW 9th entrance. The door is unlocked during business hours. Go up the stairs to the second floor, take a right and we are down the hall.

  • There is plenty of street parking with a 2-hour limit, but you must move your car to a new location if you’d like to remain on the street. We are not happy with the changes the city has made to street parking stays and are actively working to extend parking limits on our block.

For longer stays, there are two surface lots and one parking garage within one block of the Commons. Surface lots range from $12.75/day to $15/day.

    Surface Lots
Corner of NW Couch and NW 9th (west side of street)
Corner of NW Davis and NW 9th

    Parking Garage
Corner of NW Couch and NW 9th (east side of street)

  • We LOVE dogs but Design Commons isn’t a daily dog-park office. While we don’t generally allow pups, we understand that sometimes they need to tag along - so we handle it on a case-by-case basis to keep both our community and your furry friend happy. Please text Kat directly if your pup needs to tag along for the day.
